cala_jane, when i was brainstorming the thing with her, argued that Brad should wear his dress blues that first meeting in the restroom... But it would make it a little easier for Nate to eventually find him since he'd have a pretty good clue as to what Brad does.

Tux was the next best thing. And I have such a tie/bowtie kink like you wouldn't believe.

I still haven't given up on the dress blues. There's always the second chance meeting ;)

Considering I'm pretty much in class for eight or so hours every day and then I go to work, I need every motivation to write... I've figured having the first part up would make me feel guilty ;)

I've read the review of the film somewhere (Empire, I think), and there was the whole, ya know, young charismatic senate candidate, destined for presidency, star-crossed lovers... and I called cala_jane up and practically demanded she'd go to the cinema with me, because it screamed GK AU :D

This is so lovely, especially the details on their tiny interactions between each other. I haven't seen the film yet, now after this I think I will be watching that movie one day and in complete regret that the lead is not Skarsgard and Sands. (I'm fully confident that Emily will be as lovely as ever, but I just don't think Matt's stocky figure will cut it for me any more.)

Please take your time and write a nice long story. It's just such a great idea that worth take time to built up on.

Thanks so much for reading :) I am buried in school work (and work work, tbh) at the moment, so I'm writing at a much slower pace than usual, but I'm certainly motivating myself with posting this bit and you guys are helping a lot with comments :)
