I think he will be famous because well.. time travel does kind of screw with my head but I think that all we've been told has happened, more or less. Or I don't know. I think that he will be the leader of the resistance, somehow, but the way is more complex than we might've previously assumed. Very hazy, but... you know.

I JUST WANT THIS SHOW TO COME BACK FOR ONE MORE SEASON.

3)I thought this was the future of world when John time-traveled into the future. He has skipped Judgment Day and so wasn't there to survive it and and wasn't there to lead the resistance...and this option also allows for option 2 to come to pass as well. I think.

The finale did that to me as well. *consoles*

I think this is the version of the future in which John wasn't there to lead humanity after Judgment Day, that's why they don't recognise him.

OMG BRILLIANT.

Well, clearly, since he skipped over it. But what I am wondering is not whether he was there, since he clearly wasn't, but whether this future was determined already. Whether he always was going to jump, and the Future!John was always present!John after jumping forward, whether this is John who's going to choose Allison for the mission where she's captured, this John who will send Kyle back, John the Leader of the Resistance. This John, teenager John.

Because that would be AWESOME as hell.

And I'm still freakin' capslocky over the entire thing HOURS LATER.

FLAILS.

Future!John IS present!John now. They've made it clear with Derek and Jessie that future changes according to the present... unbeknowst to the characters who are stuck in the present.

(Wow, this come out complicated. What I mean is that they probably meant to do that with John and that may be why we never saw Future!John.)

But how would that work with the constantly changing date of Judgment Day? (Not to mention all the other changes made to history.)

I see a lot of people treating the show as if it's possible the whole show is just one big time loop, but I don't see how that's possible without seriously breaking the contract with the viewer (i.e. assuming that anything Kyle, Cameron, Derek, or Jessie ever said about the future is pretty much a lie).

I think this was especially done this way so you can choose which version to believe.

Maybe this time there was no John Connor but someone else took his place (Sarah? Savannah?).

Maybe he was always to jump and then follow the secret code of how things are suppose to go to get him there, although it doesn't make him look good considering he must send all of them (Derek, Kyle and Allison) to die for all this to come to pass.

Or maybe it is just another alternative version of the future - in this one John Connor mysteriously appeared to lead mankind in the fight with Skynet. Will those people die again or will they live in this timeline I don't know but I know this time around John Connor comes with secret friends.

I want more so badly it hurts.

I am so in love right now with the idea of Savannah Weaver, future savior of humanity and leader of the resistance against SkyNet. The combined amounts of awesome and making sense are just so great.

To quote my own review - I would love Savannah - leader of the Resistance, schooled by the awesome Sarah Connor to fight the machines but still remembering her friend John Henry.
It so makes sense

Oh, wow. I didn't even contemplate the first option. It's #2 all the way for me.
