Got to this from your year-end link. Have only watched to mid-Season 1 of SPN so far, but I've heard enough spoilers by now to understand Castiel, and get this fic.

Really interesting structure; Giles' emotions really resonate through it. Favorite line:

> He'll make tea, which the angel won't drink. Giles will think briefly, that if the heaven doesn't have tea, he'll have to reconsider opposing hell. Of course, with his luck, hell will only have Lipton in teabags.
