Victory is mine!

Finally - I found a journal style I'm not only content with, but practically almost smitten with. I get totally thrown off my journal-reading/writing game if the layout lacks certain features. (Not that I've had any writing game of late, but still ( Read more... )

Acupuncture. My sister had horrible night sweats and started acupuncture and they stopped after the second session. You have to go pretty often at the beginning, now she goes back every 2-3 months. I just started to help with all the health issues that seem to be related to perimenopause. I've only had one session so I can give my ringing endorsement but I'm already noticing changes.

Definitely worth a try, and there's a facility nearby that I've heard good things about. I've actually been thinking about this since you wrote about it. Now that I see how well I tolerate the deep-tissue massage, I can probably tolerate the needles, as long as I don't have to actually watch them getting inserted!

I like this journal style - and even though I read in my own style, I appreciate a nice well designed journal when I pop around to visit.

Good luck with the exam - I second the acupuncture.

Your style is the one that's always been my favorite/fallback one, the flexible squares. I like that the sections are framed, I wish they were in this one for more definition, but I really needed a change. I tried to really step outside my comfort zone, but those choices typically lasted about 45 minutes. *shiver* I often click on people's avatars so I can see their journal style, but when I click on "friends page" I see them in my style. Too many style changes at once would unsettle my eyes.

Thought about you during one of my Pandora songs tonight: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NUC8izazhyU

Awesome - you got me started on a jag over there on Youtube looking at old Egyptian belly dance clips. There are some lovely cheesy ones to be had...

I've seen some journal styles that I, being an old fart, simply can't read (or don't have the patience to slog though) so my style works for me.

I'm an older fart than you by a handful of months, and I totally get what you're saying. By the way, when I popped over to see what your journal style looked like, I revisited your profile and made note that you moderate a wine community. I just submitted a request to join - *curtsy* if you'll have me. We drink a fair amount of red wine, but my hubby is the one who reads, rates, keeps records, etc. I just drink what he pours me and so far it's been a perfect set up. I actually tried a journal style that had wine in it, but something about it wasn't good, but I can't remember what.

No worries, you're approved!
I only made the membership by approval to prevent spam and other undesirables :)

Great-looking new journal style. The red is a nice dash of color.

Yeah, I like that splash of red, too.

Ouch! Ooh! Ouch! It's my fault but a warning on the last paragraph would have helped.

I thought the surgeon general was on top of things, but apparently not. Sorry for the missing warning there, joebanks. And after all that, my appointment is on the 17th, not the 7th, so I showed up for nothin'.
