Shit! Not this place too-

[Alex's tirade is cut off by a small amount of static over his words, and he only speaks after a few minutes of staring at his device in pure horror. And after loading his gun.]That fog outside? Not exactly natural, if you ask me. I've seen things like that before. You'll see things and you might end up lost if you try to ( Read more... )

"A guy with a triangle helmet"?

That's really quite specific. Have you encountered something like this in your world?

I've met him twice, actually. Not exactly the best guy you'd like hanging around.

I'd imagine so, especially in this fog. Just how huge of a knife does he have?

I'd say as tall as he is- seven feet.

I cant be too sure if what's happening here is the same as what I've been through, but it's better to be careful than not.

Does this happen often where you come from?

Only recently.

[she's trying not to laugh, really; she succeeds although some of the amusement is still apparent in her voice]

I get the whole "this fog is probably unnatural" even if I haven't been here very long. Supernatural isn't something new to me. But... "a guy with a triangle helmet and a huge knife"? That seems...pushing it a bit, doesn't it?

...Well, maybe not. But it's a pretty funny sounding description anyway. [she does chuckle a little here]

[Okay, Alex, watch your temper D<] You wouldn't laugh if he'd show up here.

At least other people know that this isn't going to be good for us.

[He starts off very serious.] This happened in two towns, as far as I know. People start disappearing for no damn reason, thick fog starts coming up on the town and bodies start showing up everywhere. If you try going through the fog, you either end up at the edge of a pit in the ground that was sure as hell not there before, or back the way you came. Or totally lost instead ( ... )

The worst part is the monsters. [Here his voice takes on a weary tone, like it pains him to talk about them.]

They're not normal ones, whatever you define "normal" for those kinds of things. They look... human. They looked like they were human long ago and something must have happened to them to make them that way. I can tell you though I've seen monster versions of my dog roaming around the streets after my dad killed it.

Some of them may even be people you know. Four I've seen really stood out- they were kids I knew and grew up with. [Pause.] I cut my brother's body out of one of them.
