Iella turns the key and opens the door to their rooms, slipping inside and closing the door behind her. She leans against it in the darkness a moment, closing her eyes, winter hat in one hand and several icepacks numbing the other, and then she says, "Lights." One, and thankfully for her head, only one, comes up, and she slowly opens her eyes. ( Read more... )

Wedge did, in fact, mean to get home long before Iella was due. Then the procurement officer cornered him in his office with lists from the past two years, wanting to go over changes in ordering. Once he'd finally dealt with that ferrety man, his chief mechanic had waylaid him on his way to his hovercar, and another hour had been spent going over a trio of new Incom X-wings, and detailing the problems with each. Key, key, where is the fraking key? He's beginning to wonder if he left it back in his office on Coruscant when he finds the odd metal key deep in a pocket in his jacket. Carefully he unlocks the door, and shoves it open with a shoulder.

Huh, that's odd. He thought he turned off the lights when he left. He'll sort that out once he's put his gear down somewhere he won't trip over it later.

It's Wedge, she sees with a rush of overwhelming relief. That had been her thought when she'd heard the key in the lock, but there'd been no way to be sure. Iella, standing behind the door, swings it shut and holsters her blaster.

She's grateful that the lights aren't all the way up. "Wedge," she says quietly, crossing her arms.
