How horribly sad for all of them. Who knows how it would have turned out had Badcock lived...

It was indeed sad for everyone. We shall be thinking a bit about the " what ifs " in our final posts on George 's naval career = but of course they remain " what ifs" for all that

Oh dear it's all just tragic isn't it? You wouldn't wish Badcock's end on anyone, especially not one so young, but there's no denying that he really was a terror. George must have rued the day that their paths ever crossed. You do really have to wonder about Badcock's complete impropriety and disdain for authority don't you?

And as for Cumberland, well, would you trust anyone who wore red velvet breeches?!
