Glasgow really has seen it all over the last twelve months. From the terrible Clutha tragedy, to the Art School fire and the loss of the iconic Mackintosh Library, the highs of the Commonwealth Games and the spontaneous outpouring of positivity around the Referendum, to the awful sectarian rioting that followed, and now this. One thing is certain though, the people will pull together. A lot of folk I know have adopted the "People Make Glasgow" icon on social media to show their support for the city and its people. I'm sure you're right, many folk will take extra care when they part from their loved ones for the next while.

You most definitely can be a Glaswegian-in-law! Few cities adopt people as enthusiastically as Glasgow :)

In re Glasgow (and Australia!) keep thinking of those left behind, and what sort of Christmas they will have.

So glad you ended with a positive story - that one really warmed the cockles of my heart.

Good thoughts to you and yours, and I hope your Christmas is spent with much laughter, light, and love. And I hope we all remember to be a little kinder to those we care about, no matter the season.

*Hugs*
