GORGEOUS icons, Karen. Makes me want to continue my rewatch. I'm at the start of S5. I really need to do something like this when I'm doing a rewatch of something. But my muse, she is gone. I took request over at my icon journal two months ago, and they're still not done.

This season was made of soooo much WIN. It's always great to hear how people got into the fandom. And like you, my brother was instrumental in bringing me in. Even though we watched it from the beginning I probably wouldn't have caught that first episode if he hadn't been so damn fangirly about it.

Ugh. Donnie Phaster scares the holy fuck out of me. Still.

I think the summer after watching Anasazi was the longest of my life. Holy shit. You can't just end a season like that. I'm still bitter that I had to wait that long.

The break between seasons 2 and 3 was BRUTAL but I was still newish to the show so I had a lot to discover... books and the entire interwebs and such. :)

My brother and my sister and my best friend all were like "Karen you would prolly like this... you should watch." It was happenstance that I saw the show when I did but it's because of my bro. He was just dumped and I remember him being SUPER depressed... we were all worried about him so when I would come home from work on Fridays we'd hang together and watch XF til he got out of his funk.

Oh thanks. I wish I could get away from the center crop cuz I know a lot of people are "meh" about it but I'm a fan of symmetry - tho not FEARFUL symmetry... get it? :D

I did a SPN thing like this as well... went up thru A Very SPN Xmas I believe at the time. But they're kinda poopy icons. :)

Oh I forgot to answer the screencapping question...

I have a program that originally came on my computer but I eventually had to buy after a reformat. It's called PowerDVD and a lot of computers have it pre-installed. It's SO easy to make screencaps with... literally I push a button. There are some settings to make (tell it where to save the caps, what size, four diff colour settings) but after those are set, I just push C on my keyboard and whammo!

Oh I really like the icons. The aubrey one and the die hand die verletzt one are my favs.

Don Kalm was my first episode, too! I started watching before the first movie came out and I caught a rerun of it. I had already seen maybe 20 minutes of the season 1 episode Fire but I don't count that. Thank goodness for the FX channel running all those rerun from the pilot on. That's how I got caught up. :) I probably would have became a fan way before that but we didn't get FOX at my parents house.

Don't you just love how as you re-watch you see all these guest stars that are famous now and you didn't even remember them being on the show. Like Ryan Reynold in Syzygy?

No you didn't mention it. Yea he's the first one on the screen and I was like Oh My That's Ryan Reynolds!
I finished Grotesque yesterday. Piper Maru next but I don't think I've have time for a episode today. Just depends. I've got a later night at work and then a early shift in the morning so we'll see.

I agree that quite a bit of S2 is definitely underrated. I love reading your episode thoughts from your rewatch!

season 2 is really where they kicked their shit into high gear and i'm soooo glad i re-watched it. season 3 is really fricking awesome but s2 defines the entire series, imo. :)
