The Game
→ The Game is a tournament of sorts that those who possess one of the five special sets of genes must participate in. There are five stages of the Game, and each stage becomes more difficult the higher that it goes. It was created by a man whose name continues remain unknown a long time ago when the first gene appeared. The Game is a series of trials that, when/if they survive the fifth stage, then they will win the Heart - a special power that would grant any wish to the winner.
Genes
→ Throughout the years, scientists from all over the world develop genes that can make anyone obtain inhuman abilities. However, out of the millions of scientists who tried to make the genes, only five (groups of) people managed to succeed.
• Noah: The first gene to be created. The developer of the Noah gene was Adam (the Millennium Earl). The Noah gene is a very dangerous gene since those who are not compatible with it will die quickly. The Noah gene grants its vessels powers that defy reality itself. For example, they can enter dreams, "Choose" anything that they wish to touch, and enter minds themselves. As it is, only 13 people (including Adam himself) are compatible with the Noah gene.
• Apocryphos: The Apocryphos gene was the second gene to be created. It was developed by Hevlaska - who died in an explosion shortly after the gene was distributed to the world. Very few people are compatible with this gene since the genes can become poisonous to the vessels.
• Innocence: This is a gene that's widely distributed all around the world. The Innocence gene was developed by Cross Marian. This gene is compatible with nearly anybody it comes into contact with, but there is a side-effect. If the user rejects the gene's goal (which is to obtain the Heart), he/she will experience a horrific transformation that will kill them. The Innocence grants its user a special kind of power where it can take the form of a weapon based on the user's blood. It does not truly give the user a power that can alter reality. As it is, there are very few Innocence genes that are born inside of a user's body - this is known as "Parasitic".
• Crow: One of the rare genes in the world since only a few group of people are chosen to be compatible with this gene. The creator of the gene is Malcom C. Leverrier. The Crow gene enables its users to possess magical abilities, though it can be harmful to the vessel as well. It if isn't learned to be controlled, the Crow gene will kill from the inside.
• Second: This is a gene that's just about extinct since only two people carry it, and it can't be replicated. The creator of the Second gene was the Chan clan. The gene gives the user incredible abilities that can make it appear as though they are immortal. However, the Second can be very dangerous. If pushed to the limit, the body will begin to disintegrate and turn into dust.
