History:
Not much is known about Tyki, but it can be assumed that like all of the other Noah, he lived a normal life until he became a Noah. Ever since then, Tyki has lived two completely different lives, which he had dubbed as White and Black.
His White life was when he was a hobo with uneducated manners, and he travels around from town to town with a small group of friends looking for different jobs. This life was when Tyki was just a human who went around cheating people at Poker, who didn’t try to get himself involved with unnecessary politics, and who just wanted to hang out with his buddies whenever they’re having lunch or when they’re working; although, his Black life was the complete opposite of his White life. In this life, Tyki was a refined gentleman who attended to parties and worked under the Millennium Earl’s orders. He killed Exorcists and destroyed the Innocence whenever he was given the order to do so, but even then, Tyki found the utmost pleasure in killing. Though, despite this, he made sure that his two lives remained completely separated.
However, this changed when he encountered Allen Walker - an Exorcist and Cross Marian’s apprentice - on a train while Tyki was in his White form where he cheated his friend, Krory, out of his possessions in a game of Poker. While Tyki was sure he can beat Allen, Allen defeated him and his friends instead by cheating them at their own game, having them stripped down to their boxers by the end of the game. Though, when they arrived at the train station, Allen returned their possessions and in return, Tyki gave him a pack of cards just as the train was leaving.
Unfortunately, just as Tyki was about to go to his next job with his friends, he suddenly received a phone call. As it turned out, it was from the Millennium Earl who called him in order to give him a job. Tyki went with the Earl back to a dining room within the Ark where he was given the orders accompany him somewhere, and he was given a job to delete a selected group of people who were all connected to one man - a Noah that had betrayed the Family a long time ago, not that anyone remembered, except for the Earl and Road.
He left in a great hurry after that, bidding both Road and the Earl a farewell for now. Tyki killed a few Exorcists - Suman Dark and Daisya Barry being two of the few.
Tyki wasn’t seen again until Suman died after he became a Fallen for helping Tyki by giving the Portuguese man information about other Exorcists. Allen attempted to save Suman, but his body was soon eaten from the inside by the Tease - a carnivorous golem that takes the form of a butterfly. Tyki beckoned the Tease back, allowing them to fly back into his hands in a flurry. He revealed his surprise at seeing Allen again, recognizing him from the time on the train when Tyki was in his White form.
As Tyki playfully bantered around with Allen, he revealed his ability to him - showing Allen that he can phase and touch anything that he wanted to. He explained to Allen about the Tease as he threatened to take out the young boy’s heart. Though, when Allen showed no fear at his threat, Tyki remarked that he ruined his fun and pulled out his hand out of Allen’s chest, and stated that he didn’t want to get his glove dirty. Instead, Tyki told the young Exorcist about why he was going around destroying Innocence, telling him about what would happen if one of the Innocence he destroyed was the Heart.
Then, the Noah decided to let one of the Tease make a hole in Allen’s heart after destroying the boy’s left arm which contained his Innocence. With that, Tyki left Allen for dead and headed for Edo where he was reunited with other members of the Noah family.
In Edo, Tyki discovered that Allen Walker was still alive, having heard it from the Jailor within the card when the little creature was not able to erase his name. Though, Tyki didn’t believe the card holder right away, believing that it was making up lies to escape from its prison. Though, when the Earl made a comment regarding the boy, Tyki sent an Akuma and one of his Tease to China by using the Ark before he briefly engaged into battle against Lavi. He taunted the redhead about Allen, telling him and the other Exorcists that if they survived long enough, they might be able to see him again. Though, Tyki’s fight was interrupted when Kanda and his group arrived, and the Noah of Pleasure briefly engaged into combat with him. However, their fight was put on hold when the Earl destroyed all of Edo, barely leaving anything behind.
Though, after more fighting, both Tyki and Skin was brought back to the Ark where they met again with Road. When the Exorcists were eventually dragged into the Ark, Tyki came and greeted them in order to do another gamble with them - the only rule? They have to survive for as long as they can in order to make it to the top where they would be able to escape from the slowly crumbling Ark. Eventually, the Exorcists did make it to the top and Tyki was challenged into a fight by Allen whilst Rhode kept herself busy by “playing” with Lavi.
Eventually, Tyki was stabbed by Allen’s Exorcism sword which he gained when Tyki almost killed him by trapping him within a vacuum. However, because of this, Tyki’s Noah had fully awakened. Tyki attacked both Lavi and Allen, eventually fighting against Cross Marian when he appeared to save Allen after Tyki threw him into a bottomless pit. Though, their battle was short-lived after the Earl came and intervened.
Tyki was seen again at a dinner party along with Cyril and Rhode Kamelot, including the Millennium Earl. By this time, Tyki had grown out his hair that it reached past his shoulders. He was soon seen again having tea over at Cyril’s home where he, along with Rhode, the Earl, and Cyril talked about the Fourteenth - the Traitor that had turned against the Noah family. Aside from that, not else much is known what happened to Tyki until he was seen again with the other members of the Noah clan. There, he was told about his Memory’s true name - Joyd. Though, it had been hinted that Tyki and the Fourteenth shared similar appearances. Tyki soon arrived in Jordan with Cyril and Mercym as they were going around killing Exorcists.
He cut Tokusa’s arms off with ease, attacking them once more when the Exorcists retreated into a cave with the people that they had saved. From there, Tyki lured Allen into the gate where they arrived in America where more members of the Family waited, along with the captives from the North America Branch and Kanda Yuu.
Personality:
As stated previously, Tyki has two lives which he dubbed as White and Black - complete opposites of each other.
White: In this life, Tyki is nothing more but scruffy hobo people would see traveling from place to place, jumping from job to job, with a small group of friends. He’s amusing, dishonest, and carries himself with a carefree air. Tyki doesn’t care where life leads him, so long as he gets to eat until his stomach is full and go into a hobo pile with his buddies. He also doesn’t enjoy being felt sorry for, even preferring to go naked on a job than to ask for his stuff back. Tyki is the type of person who would rather work hard to get what he wants than to feel pitied. Though, he’s not easily attached to anyone, but he does take an interest in the kind of people who doesn’t show any fear.
While he’s also good at spotting people out from a crowd and challenge them to a game of Poker, Tyki also tends to underestimate his opponents, especially a certain lad who goes under the name of Allen Walker.
Black: While he’s living in his Black life, Tyki is a refined gentleman, dressing himself and acting like a noble that he’s seen to be. However, he’s also much more sadistic, allowing himself to be influenced by the Noah inside of him. Though, Tyki is still much like a gambler like his White self - the only difference is that the stakes are much more higher than clothes or possession, and also much more dangerous. Though, even when he’s like this, Tyki can also be a bit laid-back and teases his enemies endlessly.
He has no regrets killing humans, even though he may care about his friends in his White life.
It should be noted that Tyki does whatever he can to keep his two lives completely separated from one another. After all, living two different lives are much more fun.
Third-Person Sample:
When Tyki jumped through the Ark, he certainly hadn’t expected to arrive in such a deserted world. Frowning slightly as he landed on the ground, Tyki looked around. When he didn’t catch sight of the other Family members or the members from the Order, the Noah blinked in surprise.
“Well now, I wonder if the others had decided to play a trick on me,” Tyki mused aloud, but even as he said those words teasingly to himself, he knew that wasn’t the case. This place - this world - wasn’t where he’s supposed to be, and he briefly wondered if Rhode had anything to do with it.
Sighing, Tyki decided not to worry about it, opting to explore this new place instead. After all, why not take this time to explore his new surroundings?
