I really liked that OP, and another ED too, but I don't remember which it was. Gundam SEED was pretty good, but the first Gundam seems to be the best, they all seem like, if you've seen one, you've seen them all. I started Wing, Turn A, and some others.
Hope you get those ideas fleshed out, would like to see how they turn out.
