Sounds cool!

What's 'wuxia'? Wow...a word not in my mental fiction databanks of terms...not even in my fanfiction databanks...

It's not so much 'martial arts' as it is 'swordsmanship', but the anime 'Rurouni Kenshin' is just that...a wandering swordsman for the good of the people.

Again, not martial arts, but Miyamoto Musashi was a swordsman whom I think Kenshin was based off of...he wandered and was a master of wooden swords (bokken).

"The Book of Five Rings" is a general 'elements' nonfiction about the more spiritual aspects of the martial arts.
"The Book of Shadows", too, I suggest...it has a lot of philosophy in it.

And...if ya need any info on martial arts...I've been doing martial arts since I was seven, and am now doing kung fu.

Sifu is a fan of Bruce Lee cause his teacher's teacher was Bruce Lee's teacher...I like Jackie Chan, too, though.

Oops...it's not really called "Book of Shadows"...that's what it translates from "Hagakure". The title is actually "The Book of the Samurai".

^^;;

wuxia is a genre, it's basically chinese martial arts books/films ^_^

I've seen a bit of a (bad) Kenshin dub, it was pretty good but they stopped showing it then ^_^

I think I own a copy of tBoFR, I've read a little but then I lost it ^_^ Although I've heard of that Hagakure book, I've never read that one

And I wanna do martial arts...I tried Taijutsu a while back, but it meant getting up early on a saturday morning...and I'm not a morning person ^_^
