ground shakes

Jun 23, 2010 13:50

My home is on a busy corner, on wet and sandy land due to the river/canal. We can shake quite a bit if a big hauler hits all the sewers when going past.

Well that was nothing compared to what just happened. I think I need to look for foundation cracks.

Check on your pets.

Surprisingly, our house remained standing. (You may recall us mentioning that parts of it were held together with duct tape?) The only thing we've noticed that even fell down was a single pez dispenser, and the cat didn't even seem too traumatized. Perhaps the near-constant rattling we experience all the time has desensitized him.

Good to hear about the cash!

The house seems fine, we've been doing work on it for days and not seen anything too odd.

Thursday is C-Day, and if its good weather I will go riding out of the city as usual. Nothing fancy usually, but I avoid all the traffic and dodge rainy clouds while doing huge loops of the city. I might work something else in instead.
