I try to avoid the flu shots because every time I've ever gotten one, within a week I get--yep--the flu. Death warmed over. The years when I haven't gotten one, I am okay. This year I was reconsidering the wisdom of skipping the H1N1 shot when a couple of co-workers fessed up that their kids were home sick with it, and instead of quarantining themselves, they came to work anyway. My cubicle-mate has been sitting next to me for the past week with a nasty bout of strep throat.
Right now I am subsisting on fervent prayer, TV dinners, and Airborne. Stay well!
