there'll be a lil box on that page. instructions on what to put in that box are in... http://www.livejournal.com/support/faqbrowse.bml?faqid=120

but it wont change your already-posted updates to friends only. those'll stay as-is inless changed manually.
also, once this is set, you cant just put a public setting on an update. it'll be friends only inless you change it back to normal using these pages.

that's what most of my posts r about as well... lol... i post icons sumtimes... most the time i just send them over IM... lol
