He was going to blow people up!? That doesn't sound like a very nice plan!

It was a plan to stop the slaughter of innocent people for believing in something different than those who held power.

Oh, well, stopping slaughter is a good thing, but solving violence with violence doesn't work.

You're right. 'Eye for an eye,' after all.

Uhm... Forgive me for asking, b-but you didn't use those books to fuel your bonfire did you? P-Please tell me you didn't.

[Lie, Kim. Lie. You're a good liar. Lie.]

No. But we do need to keep them.

Ah, I see. In that case would you mind telling me the names of the books, a-and the authors too? Then I'll be able to tell one of the librarians what needs to be restocked.

[Only the best of intentions here.]

I-If that isn't too much trouble right now of course.

Not at all!

I'll be happy to put together the list for you. It might take some time, however.

Could I have your name, so I may tell you when it is completed?

Perhaps you could say I'm not a fan of their politics at the moment.

[Or like...ever.]

W.. wait, is it a holiday about celebrating someone who wanted to blow things up..? [ She frowns a little in worry. ] That doesn't sound very good..

No, not at all. It's a holiday celebrating the failure of the attempt to blow things up. Though it seems not a lot of people know this anymore...where I am from, at least.

It's just another night for revelry now.

Ah, then it's a lot better.. It would be a little awkward to celebrate it otherwise, huh?

Um, but.. is revelry such a bad thing..?

I suppose not. But the original meaning to the celebration has been lost.

I think it's important to understand fully what you have holiday for.
