Maybe if she told them everything, some of them would decide not to go after all. The thought cheered her up some.
She produced a poster that she'd found at Groovy Tunes.
"This is Grace Holloway," she explained. "She was a blues singer in St. Louis in the 1930s before she came down to Rapture. When I was six years old, my mother was arrested, and Aunt Gracie spent the next few months raising me. Our goal is to rescue her, if she's even still alive."

She wished she had visual aids for this, but those proved impossible to obtain.
"They'll look like they're melting," she said. "Their bodies are degrading, so they'll be oddly lumpy or misshapen in places. And they'll come at us, hard. Especially me."
And while they were at it, the bad news.
"My body ... makes the drug they crave," she sighed. "It's flowing through my bloodstream. I imagine they'll be able to smell me coming from a mile away."
