IPD training wasn't proving particuarly difficult, not that Seifer had expected that it would. He was always the first one there and he had the rules down pat, including, and he relished this one, the fact he could bring in anyone causing a disturbance. He'd always had pretty good luck with recruits. There were the occasional outliers -- sometimes you got someone like Stackhouse, who meant well and had their own, let's call it particular skill-set, and needed an extra partner just to be sure -- but most of the time, the training went smoothly, he could rely on people.

It probably paid to be reminded some people needed a sharper lesson than amiable training, and sometimes even that wouldn't work.

"Almasy," he said, far less amiable than the genial tone he adopted as a matter of course. "My office."
