Hi. I clicked on "Australian Shepherds" on my profile and it brought me to a page of people who also have "Australian Shepherds" as an interest. All of these people were placed in chronological order based upon when they last updated their journal, so you were near the top. I clicked on you and noticed you have good taste in books and TV. Then there's the whole being articulate thing, which is always a plus. So for those reasons I have friended you. Okay, bye!
I just ran across your comment in lifeonmartha about Rusty's commentary, and I thought it was the most succinctly true thing I've read lately. So, may I friend?
Aww, thank you! I'm usually a staunch defender of authorial intent, but Rusty's just too damn obnoxious. Maybe he's deliberately winding up the fandom, or maybe he's just not phrasing things quite right and being misinterpreted--though you'd think someone who writes for a living (and often makes comments about how tricky a job it is, and how you have to choose your words carefully) would, you know, choose their words carefully. Regardless, I can't wait till he hands over the reins to someone else.
In this case, unfortunately, I think what Rusty said and what was onscreen were sadly similar, but it's also very true that he tends to create subtexts that are utterly outside his control. It's...all very confusing.
That's difficult, as the duckies are the cutest, but the Firefly and Dalek ones tie for coolest.
Blast.
Anyway, I was directed here via Boz' blog--hee!--and I read the fic, which was of much win. I would like to be added, so that I might read the epilogue/sequel when it is posted at a later time/date.
Way back in the day when Lost didn't suck, a friend of mine referred me to your weekly episode recaps. I lurked about reading them and they made me chortle. Re-finding your LJ and deciding to read it again is a complete act of randomness, really.
Awwww, Lost. If only it hadn't gone to pot. I watched some of S4, and it seemed to be getting better, but at that point, it was too late--I no longer gave a rat's ass if any of the characters lived or died. :P
"The Middleman," however, is made of awesome. Yay for a Lost alumn doing something fantastic!
