Discussion post: What happened next?

So I was thinking about what would have happened on screen between our boys if the show hadn't been cancelled. What storylines they would have had, how their relationship would have progressed, etc. etc

I agree that Noah would never have been heard from again.

Sadly I agree it's likely they would have been given the Kish treatment and written off into the sunset after a year or so. I could see them getting a decent storyline or two- like adopting the next conveniently adoptable baby in Oakdale. I actually would have liked to see them involved with the next baby switch storyline- AMC gave Bianca one of her greatest storylines during the Miranda/AJ baby switch.

It's also possible that they might have killed off Reid after a while, or simply ruined the relationship and broken them up, if ESS wanted to leave the show but Van wanted to stay.

Okay, obviously thinking too much about this when I should be working:

Possible storylines:
Reid meets Damian. Maybe a Reid kidnapping by Damian's men to announce Damian's return.
Kidnapping of a Snyder kid and Luke & Reid would be part of the search group along with half of Oakdale.
Chris vs. Reid in some hospital conflict--maybe about a patient's care or such, and maybe Reid and Luke are on opposite sides, too.
Someone (a person from his past) blackmails Reid but Reid doesn't tell Luke.
Luke must pretend to be straight to win over some benefactors for his foundation and Reid ain't happy about that.
Chris and Katie break up and Reid and Luke try to get them back together (while taking a back seat--again--to a Chratie storyline).
Reid goes out of town a lot to save people while Luke stays at home (THIS I could see happening way too much so we'd only see Van, not Eric).
Reid makes a BIG mistake at the hospital that temporarily costs him his job and he considers moving back to Dallas.

I like all these, except for Chris with Katie, lol. In my version, he's dead. Katie asks Reid to father a sibling for Jacob.

Although, instead of both of them trying to get Chratie back together, can Luke be trying to get them together and Reid trying to talk Katie into dumping him?

I like to think that had the show continued that Luke and Reid would have been having lots of sex, even if we never saw it. I hope that it would have at least been mentioned all the time!

I really like the idea of Luke having an admirer!

I think that they would have had a kid s/l as well.

I would have liked to have Reid being blackmailed by someone else.

I like the idea of ESS and VH leaving the show together so that LuRe could have their hea.

Yep, I'm pretty sure they'd get limited screentime, and we'd all be bitching about that! Not knowing that we were at least being spared from death by train! LOL!

I do think that there would've been a marriage line involved if ESS had something to say about it since he imagined Reid panic eating before the ceremony.

Did he say this? Hahah! That's awesome.

We got the crappy short end of the deal but I am comforted knowing that soaps do bring back dead characters (if it went on) and that they didn't have the opportunity to ruin either Luke or Reid and that we didn't have to watch them be played by someone other than Van or Eric.

I actually think that they were setting Noah up to be a crazy-ass bad guy. I think he'd have gone off to L.A. for awhile, and then some mysterious and creepy things would've started happening to Luke - like he had a stalker - and then maybe threats to Reid's life would come through, and then Luke would be kidnapped by the stalker, who would turn out to be Noah. (And Luke would have thought it was Grimaldi stuff, and been all blaming of Damian, etc, and then feel guilty when it wasn't Damian after all. And this would have somehow led to their reconciliation. *nods nods*)

A+ I would've loved this! It would've been nice for the show to acknowledge Noah's douchiness instead of still pretending he was a "good" guy- if you're gonna make him a crazy-ass bad guy, GO ALL THE WAY WITH IT.

Weren't there spoilers or at least speculation that they were going this route? Man, I wish they had. Noah might have been interesting for two damn seconds, and I would have liked to see if JS could have pulled it off. He always was most convincing to me as angry!kindofcrazy!Noah.
