We pick up, again, nearly two weeks after the last time we saw our boys, and Reid is berating Nurse Gretchen. Luke arrives on time to see Nurse Gretchen walking away in tears and tells Reid he's there to coach him on his people skills

*sigh* Can we just take a moment and reflect on how fucking GORGEOUS ESS looks in this clip? He apparently went sailing or did carpentry in his back yard shirtless (GAH!!!) or went to the beach while Van was off shooting that movie, but he has some sort of golden cast going on here that is slaying me senseless. It's all beautiful with his hair and makes his smile even brighter. God Almighty.

I FLOVE Reid in this episode sooo much!!!! Is there anything NOT to love about Reid Oliver? If I was Nurse Gretchen I would be crying because he is gay, and I have no chance of getting in his pants!

Luke cannot seem to keep his hands off of Reid for more than two minutes. It should have gone like:
Number 2. Don't flirt with the nurse.
Number 3. Do you wanna make out?
And:
I don't want you to be Noah, but if this is going to be anything, I have to see you with your clothes off. Wanna make out?
And:
It's a good thing I like you despite yourself. Wanna go to the on call room and give each other hand jobs?
I mean, where is the love? Two hot guys, obviously hot for each other, and we don't even get the secret handshake!

Despite all that, loved these two together, whenever we could get them, so I still squeeeed like a 12 year old during the entire episode. (Except, that freaking "Green shirt of Doom" that Luke is wearing. UGHHHHH!)

Oh, and the role of major Douche is now being played by Chris Hughes....

I wish they'd had more scenes like this. They're just so cute together.

And I agree that Luke should've used sex--or even KISSES!--as an incentive. *nods firmly* Reid would've learned him some people skills in no time flat. :D

I still like to imagine that there was major kissing going on when Reid arrived at Luke's. You just know he rushed over to make out with Luke.

Oh, and Reid is sooooo grumpy at the beginning of the role play because Luke lured him in with promises of sexytimes and then didn't pay up! Poor Reid!

I think about Reid's untucked shirt a lot, too. Had Luke's hands been under there? Or was Reid just untucking in anticipation and then totally shot down?

But a chief of staff needs to deal with people problems on a regular basis, and not always with people he already knows and likes. So I don't have a problem with the idea that, if Reid wants that job, he might need to work on his people skills. (It's only when they start implying -- or stating flat out -- that Reid's poor people skills makes him something less than a person that I start seeing red.)

Yup, I agree. Luke, to me, never wanted to change Reid--I mean, the guy fell in love with him even though "he's rude. And cold. And rude." Luke loved Reid just the way he was. And this whole thing was orchestrated because Luke wanted Reid to get the top job (remember that this will mean that Reid will permanently stay in town, though we all know that is definitely not the main reason). But yeah, Reid didn't need changing, just a little less attitude toward his future employees.
