We pick up where the last episode left off, on the hospital roof where Luke tells Noah that everything has changed. Noah asks if the way Luke feels about him has changed and Luke admits that it has.
At the time, I was glad that Noah wasn't able to really see them through the window. I can't help wondering about it now. If he had seen them here, maybe Luke would have just admitted his new feelings for Reid. How differently the next few weeks would have gone! Or would Luke have just become confused and nervous(like he does later) about it? Pondering... I think Luke had enough "rooftop" in him to be honest with Noah. I find myself wishing Noah had seen it clearly. I do like how Luke won't let Reid just push him away. Luke is all around awesome today.
I think I agree. If Noah had seen them here, or if Reid had pushed Luke to be honest with Noah instead of not honest, then I think that everything would have gone differently. Much more smoothly. I think all of the misunderstandings came out of Reid putting his defenses back up and Luke's self-esteem issues causing him to doubt, and then Noah as the foil to Luke's self-confidence that he always is with any decent amount of exposure. *sigh* If Noah had seen them, confronted them here, and made his final cut with Luke, then I think it would've been a much prettier picture. Less angsty. Less woobie Reid. And I love woobie Reid!
This is such an excellent analysis! Rooftop!Luke seemed pretty sure about what an incredibly stupid decision it would be to get back with Noah but his later ambivalence and wishy washy-ness definitely needs a better explanation than 'different writers are responsible for different scenes and they don't always watch the scenes other writers wrote'. And you managed it very well! kudos.
Luke seems so more grown up when he's talking to Noah on the rooftop.
I love the ending when with Reid and Luke
"Good luke with that Mr. Snyder" (oh man were back to the last names)
"Dont't call me that" ( You know Luke wants them were there at and not to go back)
"what you want from me. Tell me. you want me to pretend nothing happened between us. That's not the way I work, and we both know it's not true." ( Reid is so passionate when he says this and when he does his famous touching Luke's cheek I melt.) They so look like they would of kissed.)

I think Luke had more confidence early in the episode. Then, after Reid called him an idiot (and called Noah Luke's boyfriend), and then walked in on Reid claiming he'd only been using Luke, and then had to deal with Casey and Alison gushing over how awesome it was that Luke and Noah came through everything still together, IMO Luke was a lot less certain about what he wanted, and about what it was (if anything) Reid actually wanted from him.
"I think Luke had more confidence early in the episode." I agree. I think Reid shot himself in the foot by calling Luke an idiot (grrrrrrrrrr) and then lying and saying that he used Luke.
But I sort of think Reid's lack of confidence shows here too because he's jealous to the point of losing his cool. If I had a doctor, and he talked to me and my visitors like that, I would not be happy.
And I don't know why Reid's so worried about Noah and germs...I mean, I dont' even think he has an incision! Lol... I think it was brain surgery by osmosis.
