Damnnnnnnnn....even more fine, the second time :) I can't say enough about ESS' line delivery and Van just got better and better over time working with him.

My favorite line of this segment kicks off Reid's "love" story with Bobbo - "You! You look important." ESS and Don Hastings also established great chemistry from the beginning. I really appreciated how their relationship evolved into mutual respect with a father-son element. From the interviews, it sounded like ESS really enjoyed working with Don and learned a lot from him. I've not seen anything from Don though about the Bob/Reid interplay. Please share if you have.

Reid and Bob's bromance is, indeed, a wonderful thing. I kinda love how Bob falls for Reid like a freaking canonball. LOL! It was old man bromance at first sight.

I am going to try to fit the phrase "old man bromance" into every conversation I have from now on!!!!

Reid's introduction to Bob ranks up there as one of my favorite scenes. I loved ESS' delivery of those lines.

And let's not forget the equally charming "Right on" as he dashes out to get the surgery party started the first time. In my mind, it's totally an anti- Reid phrase, but fitting all at the same time when he says it, as he mocks the backwards Oakhell residents.

*cocks head*

Really? I don't find it to be outside of his usual speech patterns. He loves to say things like "Right on" or "skedaddle" or whatever ridiculous thing comes to mind. Reid's phrasing is all about the way he says things, imo. He says all kinds of incredibly juvenile things actually, and infuses them with so much sarcasm and mockery mixed with some kind of seriousness that it's really unique and awesome.

To me, it's part of his charm and cockiness that he just kind of owns the English language, and can literally say whatever the hell he wants and have its meaning bend to suit his will through the awesome power of sarcasm and inflection. Hmm...I think that sentence made sense?! Well, at least I know what I mean! :D

Oh, and let's not forget that timeless classic, "you da man!"

Seriously, Reid can say anything and make it awesome.

hmmm....luke's green sweater is......not flattering. at least, in MY eyes.

thats all i can focus on right now. sometimes i am amazed at how bad the wardobe dept can dress a person

...oh and....luke, the hair. yikes.

Gotta admit, I like Luke's floppy hair look, probably just because it was blonder at the time, but I think his hair was styled similarly and looked beautiful in the first kiss scene in Dallas. I've never written a fic before, but I have an idea in mind that features Luke's hair...don't know if I have the guts to do it though.

Oh, if you have any fear of it all, I vote you write it then. :) I'm a big believer in writing stuff you're afraid to write for whatever reason. Risks are fun!! :P

Risks are fun (as long as you are not trying to outrun a train - **eyes rolling**). I really want to do it. As a first-timer though, I could use a little coaching through the process...

"You! You look important."

"Who are you? And what are you doing in my hospital?"

BWAHAHAHA! Love Reid and Bob scenes and they were (obviously) awesome right from the start. Love these two actors together and how they feed off of each other. Side note, that little moment at the end with Bob and Kim in the parking garage makes me smile. After all those years, those two were still so amazing together.

I'm loving Reid with stubble. Reid with stubble and in scrubs? *melts*

Oh and Reid's comment about Oakdale being the most white-bred, self-satisfied community he's ever seen? Preach it, brutha!

Luke has already shown more fire and passion (in something that isn't desperation) in his brief moments with Reid than he did with any of the previous few months with Noah.

Ugh, Noah? Eat a bee.

Eat a bee? LMAO! Did I miss back story that he is allergic (she thinks, wistfully....)? At least that would finally explain the squinty eyes, ha ha.

And yeah, Bob and Kim were so fantastic together. So much love for them!

When I first watched this, I actually wasn't that impressed. Funny how I love this now (despite how painful the Nuke stuff is). I love how Van and Eric both have great chemistry with almost everyone they meet on screen. I mean, Eric has chemistry with Van- and with Don Hastings and Kathryn Hays. He actually gets Jake to give some of his best performances too.

I really really wish we'd gotten years of watching Luke and Reid supercouple it around Oakdale, interacting with the Hughes family (and finally getting Luke out of the Gay Snyder bubble).

I know, it would have been awesome seeing Luke and Reid be the new Bob and Kim.

Well, until Goutman and Passanante totally destroyed their relationship and made them a toxic mess like every other couple on the show save Bob and Kim or Tom and Margo. I shudder to think of how they would have ruined Luke/Reid. Because they would have, undoubtedly.

Long live fanfic! :D

p.s. You know, if you ever get the inkling to finish that Victorian AU, that would be V.V. AWESOME. I'm just saying.

Ugh yes, they would have. Considering how bad Reid's death was, I can only imagine what they might have done several years in the future. And the reason they didn't run Bob/Kim and Tom/Margo into the ground is probably because those characters didn't get nearly as much screen time as Passanante and Goutman's precious pets like Katie and Janet.

LOL well I actually think I'll post what I've written on my LJ in the next day or two to get some concrit. Because I like what I've written so far, but it's hard to know where to go from there.
