Author's Notes: Reid learns about Luke and Noah’s relationship. Even by the end of the show, when Luke realized he and Noah weren't meant to be, he still defended many of Noah's actions. This was as realistic as I could make it. This is T?WT?, as well as unbeta-d, but I did ( Read more... )

This was really, really good. Reid, ever the scientist, trying to find out the reason everyone loves Noah so much when he and Luke's relationship was such a disaster. It's funny - I wonder the same thing all the time when I hear the Nuke folks going all gaga over Noah. I keep thinking, "Were they watching the same show I was? Because Noah is a douche!" I think they've all drunk the same purple Kool-Aid the people in Oakdale have drunk! Thank God we (along with Reid and Casey, apparently) were smart enough to steer clear!

You chose a great angle here with Reid trying to figure out Luke and Noah's relationship as a scientist. Well done!

I like the idea of Reid trying to take a logical, scientific approach to figuring out Luke & Noah's relationship, and I really like this:

Later that day, as Reid curled up against a naked, sleeping Luke, he came to a realization. He had finished his experiment.

He had tested his hypothesis and found it to be false. Luke and Noah’s relationship was far from healthy, and there were countless examples to support it. But most of all, Luke finally realized it, and that was what mattered. He opened the mental file in his mind and wrote something new.

Diagnosis: Noah was a douche.

And Luke was cured of him forever.

Thanks for participating in our challenge!

Happy New Year!

I really liked this story! It was interesting to see Luke defend Noah over and over again.
Poor Reid trying in vain to figure out what was so great about Noah!!!
I would have loved to have seen Luke confront his family about why they continually supported Noah at Luke's expense.
“You publicly humiliated him with that movie of yours in front of hundreds of people.”

“You really think hundreds showed up?” Noah said" These two lines perfectly illustrate just how toxic Noah is!

I loved the end. Noah who indeed!!

Great job!
