Forgot to add that all these awesome Luke scenes, especially with Faith and Lucinda, remind me how amazing Luke was... before the douche came along and made him doubt himself.
I really liked this old version of Faith, too. I still envision this Faith [just older] when I write or read Faith in fic. The scene with Luke and Faith sitting by the Snyder Great Lake after them overhearing the reveal of the Holden/Carly affair was such a classic scene. I'm really not knocking the actress who replaced her but since she wasn't written as anything but Petulant Girl, she was completely uninteresting to me. Yeah, the younger Faith was written as moody and rude as well but I think she was written with more layers. YMMV.
VH was so underutilized during this time, but he made each screen appearance count showing his range. Luke loves his family and defends the downtrodden outcast. That scene with Lucinda was amazing.
Van was amazing and should have been used more on the show. I wish they had brought someone equally as talended like Eric to be his boyfriend and who blended in with other storylines like Reid did it would have been much more potential for great storylines for them.
Luke seriously is the best everything. Always stands up for those he loves. I really loved this Faith too and thought it was a total rip-off that they recasted before the show went off the air.
Plus, that Luke/Lucinda scene was one of my faves as well. It was one of those rare times when you actually saw people just sitting and talking about their lives. Nothing special, but that feeling of love and devotion was still there.
