Apple Month - lame comment fic written in ten minutes is lame! _alicesprings September 2 2011, 22:15:18 UTC

When Luke brings Reid an apple on Monday, just as he gets an emergency page, he doesn't think twice about it, just drops a quick thank you kiss on Luke's cheek as he races out the door toward the ER.

When he comes back to his office after lunch on Tuesday and finds an apple sitting on his desk, he just shrugs and takes a bite of it, letting the sweet, juicy taste fill his mouth.

There's another apple there on Wednesday, then Thursday, and on Friday, when Luke walks in after rounds, tossing yet another shiny red apple into the air and catching it, a huge grin on his face, Reid can't help but chuckle.

"You're supposed to bring your teacher an apple a day, not your boyfriend."

Luke laughs. "You know what they say, an apple a day keeps the doctor away."

*sigh* I love this. If I were to start picking out my favorite parts, I'd have to cut and paste the whole fic. Love it! :)
