Name: went by Dru in all my other fandoms, thanks to a lifelong habit of picking up nicknames (it's not my name, but I respond to it).
Usual BSG fandom activities: reading fic, reading meta, making long-ass comments on said fic, in this comm, and in other pilotshippers' journals. Lots of squee and lots of sobbing too.

Oh! I also prefer the aired version as a whole, but I generally watch the bits of the extended that I love, too. There's something wondrous about how the aired version tells the story without the words during the fight. It does leave Kara's feelings more ambiguous (to me), which I don't love, but overall, just wonderful. (I love it more than UBEX for technical reasons, but MY HEART MY HEART for the pilot love in UBEX.)

UB original is like a love poem to Lee and Kara, and I like how it keeps the focus just a little bit tighter on them instead of digressing into extra ringside speechifying from Dee.

The extra pilotlove in UBEX will always have my heart, but the aired version uses its music better (it's been six months since I last listened to Violence and Variations in full, because it makes me HURT SO BADLY inside).

In fact, I don't know if one can really pick favourites when it comes to BSG because I LOVE IT ALL. And it all makes me want to cry, almost five years after I began the series and six months after I finally watched Daybreak.

What can I say, I likes me some rugged men! One of my few complaints with Lee is that he is a bit...too together and pretty for my personal tastes. But here . . . RAWR! SO MUCH RAWR! It does things to me. I think my other favorite version of him was covered in blood in UB and glistening in sweat and covered in grime in EoJ if that puts things in perspective. *hugs back*

You asked about angsty moment. and that it's the peak of the angst for me. Every time that I watch that scene i expect it to end up in a full blown western type of bar fight. and I love the fact that they actively try to put their marriages together. It's hard to explain.
