Okay, now for something more serious. I have for a long time disliked the name Lee. And Bill. And a lot of the others that seem rather normal. And Leland? I just can't.

Now, though, it has grown on me, and I will forever adore what it connotes.

My choices for your preference questions:

LEE
Lennon
Picard
Soaps
Latte
Cable (for the history channel)
(embarrassingly, I don't know enough to answer)
Tom Clancy
Sean Connery
Batman
The Wire
Suburb
Tapdance (oh, lee, really??)
Kate all the way
Cary Grant
Brontes
Byron
Looney Tunes

For KARA, nearly the opposite for every one. :)

LOL, they really are opposite on most of them. Heh.

Hee! I love your answers, very much what I would have said, too.

Oh, Lee. I want to watch you tapdance, yes I do :)

And, yeah, he and Kara would totally drive each other nuts with these little things. But I bet they both like Looney Tunes :)

Hee! Yes, I think they'd both like Looney Tunes and would be slightly sway-able to the other's opinion on Stephen King vs. Tom Clancy - maybe even enough to do a fic swap. (See what I did there?)

You've led a great week, my dear. Bravo!!

I am going to answer for Kara, because I feel like it.

-Lennon or McCartney? Lennon.
- Kirk or Picard? Kirk.
- Reality TV or soaps? None of the above.
- Espresso or latte? Espresso.
- Cable or network? Network, I guess. Don't think she watches much TV. Or would pay extra for it.
- Andrew Lloyd Weber or Stephen Sondheim? Musicals aren't really her thing...
- Stephen King or Tom Clancy? Stephen King.
- Sean Connery or Daniel Craig? Sean Connery because Daniel Craig looks too much like Leoben.
- Batman or Superman? BATMAN.
- The Wire or House, MD? The Wire, obviously.
- city or suburb? City.
- tango or tapdance? Ha. Tango.
- Hepburns: Audrey or Katherine? Uh...I don't know enough about either to make a decision.
- Cary Grant or John Wayne? Much as it pains me to say it, John Wayne.
- Brontes or Austen? Hm...Austen.
- Byron or Keats? Byron.
- Disney or Looney Tunes? Uh...Looney Tunes.

Sean Connery because Daniel Craig looks too much like Leoben. LOL. Yeah, that might ruin it for her a bit.

Daniel Craig looks too much like Leoben.

LOL. YES! That's why I cannot find Craig attractive! (Well, among other reasons.)

I love your answers! Yay :)

She likes music, though - just not musicals? Maybe we can find her some piano-centric numbers :)

Come to think about names, I've actually never been crazy about the name Kara, at least not for Kara. I'm just not sure why they thought, "Yeah, 'Kara'! That's Starbuck's real name!" But her last name is damn awesome.
I like Saul Tigh's name quite a lot; besides that I'm not really crazy about a lot of names on the show, LOL. They're all either very ordinary and vaguely unfitting for the characters to me, or they're..."Gianne" D: I love Baltar's name but that goes back to the original series.

And I think a lot of you have seen this:

Ha! I forgot about this pic, but it's *priceless.*

I agree that a lot of the names on this show don't seem that great to me (Laura in particular doesn't seem like the right name for Roslin, somehow). But I'm with you on Saul Tigh being a great name, and I'm also fond of Galen Tyrol.

Total sidenote: I've noticed that I don't like the names of a lot of my favorite characters, actually - I mean, let's face it, "Spock" is the kind of name that only a mother could love. Same goes for "Sherlock." Although I've always loved the story behind that one -- Arthur Conan Doyle said that he once had a bowling match with a fellow named Sherlock and he (Doyle) completely wiped the floor with him, and after that he always had a sneaking fondness for the name! :)

One of the few fandoms I can think of that has pretty good names for my fave characters is Star Wars. And LOL, I remember it really took some getting used to trying to use the name Spock in any kind of *serious* context when I started writing Star Trek fic, because it really is a pretty silly name.

Hee! Too true. My favorite character in Star Wars is Anakin Skywalker, and I'm not sure I can count that as a win in the name department. But "Obi-Wan Kenobi" is pretty awesome, so there is that. I'm kind of sorry he downgraded to "Ben" for much of his life :)
