This is a great bit of procrastination! I love how Seth responds to Atemu's reactions- it made sense that he would be more practical about the whole situation. And Atemu was so cute in his search and his desire to stop his pain and the pain he was sure his 'mate' was feeling. Thanks for sharing this (lol- and ignoring your homework to write it!)

I'm glad Seth came across that way ^^; I wanted him to bend at least a little and give in to the possibility without just accepting it xD Because he's just so wonderfully stubborn like that.

And I write Atemu & Yami cute far more often than I should ^^; I'm glad no one has ever called me on it negatively.

A very nice little insight on two kids different views upon fantasies. :) You really managed to keep them both in-character here, particularly Seth. It makes sense that even at a young age he'd already be quite hardened on the inside. Took a while for him to warm to Atem. I could really picture this in my mind, and it left a good opening at the end as to how their relationship could develop.

I'm glad you did this instead of your homework too. :)

Yes, poor Seth is just cursed to be rather cold, even when young. At least I didn't give him a terribly bad reason to be gruff x3 Mending after horses seemed bad enough (and was inspired by the fact my school is having manure spread on the flower beds x.x not pleasant at all to walk past).

Ack, manure is not nice at all. My friend was talking about gardens for some reason today and she said her dad paid £40 for some manure. I was just like, "Your dad paid money for poo? o.o"

*laughs* xD Ah, but it's poo mixed with yummy-good stuff for the plants 8D And that's what makes it special and expensive... or so they say x3 I'd rather just water the things than surround them in nutritious-poo.

What I like about this story is the tone and point of view. Atemu and Seth at this age are hard for me to fathom, let alone write and you did a really good job. I also love the way you describe Atemu's thoughts and decision making.

Reminds me of the 'Soul meets soul, when eyes meet eyes: premise of Elfquest.

^^; I'm not familiar with Elfquest, but I figured the theme would be similiar to something else out there xD;;
