Found this via google- I'm trying to be kinder to my hair too.

I've been using an egg yolk as a face mask for a while now, and have starting putting it in my hair as well- use it just like regular conditioner- put it on clean wet hair, leave it a couple minutes, then rinse. Turns out all that cholesterol that's bad for your arteries is great for your hair.

I don't know what it does for hair health but you can't beat vinegar for shine- put it in after washing then rinse with cool water.

Hope this helps- best of luck!
Jenny

Ooh, thanks! Egg yolk sounds like it'd be really good for your hair. I'm going to try this! :)

Try applesauce, you have to be sure to rinse it out really well (so you aren't left with little chunks of apples in your hair) but I found that it conditioned my hair ends and removed some of the oil from my scalp as well. I'm water only too.
