I haven't posted in a looooooong time, but I don't think anyone has really missed me, so that's okay. I haven't made many graphics; it's pretty discouraging when mine are so bad.

But! I did win a Mod's Choice award at poto_stillness, and that really brightened my "career". So I'm here to post it, along w/ a few other pics I haven't yet posted here.

I love your cropping! - and the colours on the first two icons really appeal.

I can see why you got the mods choice - that first one is really lovely.

What program do you use - if you don't mind my asking?

I just thought a lot of girls would like pink, and vote for my icon because of that. Guess the mod did!

I used GIMP. I know almost nothing, my skillz are extremely n00b-ish. Cropping, gradients, fills (none used here), and text is about it. I can't do selective coloring, blending, or download fonts. :(

Well - that you can even do that in gimp - I am amazed - I have tried using that and gave up .....I got an old version of elements (photo shop elements) of ebay for £10 - and it's brilliant even for version 3 - so I know that the newer ones are even more so......

For some reason they layout and ease of use is logical to my brain. and using fonts is automatically easy - if you put a font in your windows font file, it shows up in the font drop down in PSE, instantly.

Clearly your guess about pink worked....i thought it charming :-)...I hope that you can figure out gimp more though - i know there are great tutorials on the net, but for me - I went in a completely different direction.

Have a good time creating more when you do....
