Scott's been with us a while, so I don't think that's what Patty was talking about -- in our company structure there's Marketing (which is PR, communications, branding, stuff like that) which Scott leads, and then a separate group for Sales (which is advertising, sponsorships, partnerships, etc.). Make sense?
Technically, we have two sales groups -- there's *another* sales group for business/enterprise stuff (like if you want Movable Type Enterprise or something) but that doesn't really have anything to do with LJ.

I didn't know whether that's who Patty was talking about--I was just wondering whether that was the position, and just trying to figure out who it was. Scott was new enough that I think he wasn't there last time I gave that page a good scouring, and EVP was close enough that I thought it might be a match.

As Anil noted, Scott Kraft has been around. He started back when I did, but stayed and is still there under the new organizational structure of Six Apart. The new head of advertising sales is Mike Ayer; I'm not following along closely enough any more to know if he was ever formally introduced to the community or not. But you know you can always count on Anil and others at LJ/Six Apart to get you the answers to your questions and concerns as they come up.
