[The Cold War. Well she herself never went through it but she has seen realities that have.]

Before I answer, is this the same Cold War that occurred after the end of the Second World War?

The one between America and the Soviet Union, yes.

There are no real winners in my personal look on it, but at the end the Soviet Union is abolished.

I see. Good. What threats to the stability of the world exist afterwards, outside of terrorists?

No one, really. But the Soviet Union fell apart during the beginning of the '90s. A couple of civil wars happened when some of it's countries declared independence. Russia itself was one of the ones that denounced membership in the USSR. The official announcement of the dissolution came in December of '91

Communists collapsed due to their own instability... Veidt not as smart as he claimed, then. Said total nuclear warfare unavoidable by nineties. Suppose your world didn't have same conditions as mine, but still good to hear.

Everyone and no one. On the plus side, no one was nuked.

Don't be. If I'm lucky, I can reveal the truth when I return. Veidt's false peace wouldn't last anyways; in time, politicians would return to old habits.

Looks like you got a couple answers already. But yeah, no real "winner" there. Don't know how else they expected that one to come out, honestly... I guess everyone could have blown everyone else up in the end too.

In my world, someone took a third option. Faked an alien invasion, sacrificed millions needlessly in the vague hope that it would unite both countries. Won't work out in the end.

That's... an option I'd never thought of. Faked an invasion, you said?

Not that I was in it as you know, but I thought the idea was that it wasn't winnable?

Someone would have to win, or it would have remained in stalemate all these years. Otherwise, both sides would have been completely destroyed, and no one would be here.

Unless one country dissolved into civil wars and had to reassess its priorities.
