Tension.

I find myself in my usual place, at the beginning of each quarter.

Worried. Stressed. Overwhelmed.

The workload shouldn't be too awful, though I am taking three 400 levels and a 300 level. It's just 16 credits and I'm not in band, so the time commitment won't be there. All four classes are education-related: health ed, math ed, science ed and a ( Read more... )

Have you tried changing your workout regimen?

I read something recently that said suppressing your body's natural weight gain proclivity takes four hours of physical activity a day. Not necessarily working out, but you know, walking, lifting, etc. This is why there are no fat Amish folk.

Plus if you're stressed, your body might retain calories more. Maybe start some yoga?

i love you ames! i'd love to have you over to see my place next quarter, or whatever time isn't ridiculously stressful. here's to hopes that it lightens up a bit for you.

also - i sometimes gain small amounts of weight at the beginning and end of quarters. new classes/finals = stress = more cortisol = fat storage... etc.
