Happy summer, everybody!

(I'm a few weeks early, but between the heat waves and monsoon-ish rains in NYC, it really feels like the spring has fled already. Alas. Bring on the ice cream trucks.)

There are a few things I'm quite excited about these days:

1) Teen Wolf is back and, uh, pretty kickass so far! *knocks on every piece of wood within reach* Also, their tag line

ORPHAN BLACK!!!!!! Everybody on my friendslist who's been posting wild praise for months - THANK YOU for the rec. I watched the first 10-ep season in a weekend and now I need to see it AGAIN, because it is just as incredible, rich, surprising, and feminist as you all have said. ♥

Oh my god, it's SO GOOD! And Tatiana is INCREDIBLE! I watched this interview where she talks about using dance to help define the characters' body language, so she'll be doing ballet in between takes when she's playing Allison, and flowerchild hippie dancing when she's playing Cosima, and - yeah. AMAZING. <3

Fisting jokes? Tell me more! (I've watched a few episodes of Teen Wolf but mostly just read lots of fic. Not sure if I should bother watching more or not, honestly, the fics are such fun!)

I am so, SO absurdly glad I eventually got sucked into Elementary. If it wasn't on after PoI I never would have seen it, but luckily it was right there tempting me. sajdf;jdkl; The finale though, SO GOOD!

There are some pretty literal visual jokes in the first 2 eps of this season, ahahah. The show is really fun - you should give it a shot!

I had a million fears going into Elementary bc Holmes adaptations can fail in oh so many ways, even when they're greatly entertaining (*cough*TheBlindBanker*cough*ScandalInBelgravia*cough*), but this show keeps surprising me in the most excellent ways. OH ELEMENTARY. <3
