Dear Suits: unfortunately for you, I know what a good lawyer show looks like (omg The Good Wife omg Kalinda omg Eli Gold omg). Fortunately for you, I also know what good foundation for ENDLESS amounts of slash looks like, and you have it in spades. Please stop sucking so I can continue to watch you with just a bit less guilt

And we have to chat about The Good Wife when you're all caught up. I think it is so amazing. Christine Baranski! The cast is out of control awesome, and it is so feminist and nuanced and still funny. SO MUCH LOVE.

I've seen most of season 1 (should get the last DVD in the mail this week) so it will be a while, but - yes. All that and so much more. Thank you for pimping it so passionately!

And yes, The Good Wife is as great as everybody says. I was having SUCH a hard time getting over the title and main premise (the lead character's function as related to/defined by her husband; the cheating politician plot), but trust me, it was worth it.

This show doesn't leave me alone and I'm so deep in that I can't stop thinking about how they seemed to forget for the last two episodes that it's supposed to be about the interaction between these two, and if they don't start to make up for it for the remaining four episodes, I'll be very angry/inconsolable.
I should start to watch The Good Wife, too. It's better that I start after Suits, because then I won't care about comparing them, when everybody seems to talk about the difference in quality (even though I enjoy Suits very much). But even that won't make me stop feeling guilty zipping through Gabriel Macht's filmography, watching films like The Spirit and SWAT: Firefight just because he's in it.*facepalm*
Beautiful Thing is a beautiful thing indeed. ♥

And there is nothing wrong with checking out everything the pretty man has ever been in. I have hosted Chris Pine marathons and watched the entirety of Joe Flanigan's Dead Pilots Society - trust me, I know of what I speak. ;)
It's taken me a very long time to start watching The Good Wife because of the main premise (the lead is identified through her marital status in the very title - hackles raised! the main arc is about her coping with her politician husband's public and criminal infidelity - gag reflex up to eleven!) but even the cringe-worthy stuff is handled really well, and the show is not afraid of complexity and realism. It's very well written, has gorgeous performances, and... well, it's very smart and grown-up television. I believe you'd enjoy it. :)
