You know, in other people's LJs. Because it's a terrible show and everybody KNOWS IT, and yet we KEEP WATCHING! Gah, this show... experience... is so much fun I feel a little sick.

You may think you want to fuck Rahm Emmanuel, but really, deep down, you're scared at least as much as you're turned on.

Plus, if you didn't manage to satisfy the sex god, he might leave a dead fish in your bed.

I finally posted again on Tru Blood too, but for somewhat different reasons. I had an excited moment when I thought they were going to make Andy a supe (and THAT'S how you break up an orgy, boys and girls), but I think it's because his cop brain was triggered. That gets into fun stuff about the ego and id and all that :)

I KNOW! What is up with that?!

Maryann (played by the sublimely hot Michelle Forbes) is now actually BORING. Her evil plot is boring. Her horns are boring. Her look-at-me-I'm-a-vibrator-of-the-GODS act is boring. Even her orgies are boring! (When orgies get boring, it's time to step back and reevaluate EVERYTHING. No, really.)

WORD! And the orgies, which are one of the unsexiest things I have ever seen, just scream, "We're on HBO so we can do this! Wheeee!!!" ::yawns::

Eric is far more interesting than Bill and, imho, a better actor. I do like Jessica and Hoyt (at the moment), they're so cute together! Sam's OK, but is hampered by being the lone sane individual (right now). The rest...:p.

I have this theory that TB (heh) is appealing because it's crack that also demystifies, through explicit representation, two things that make up the vampire mystique: sex and violence. And voyeurism of that sort can be addictive.

Or maybe it's just the crack.

Eric IS interesting, even when he's emo! Jessica and Hoyt are indeed adorable, and so is Sam (I will love him forever for that bad pun re: sex on the pool table); but overall, the show is just... bland. Even with all the insane stuff they keep throwing at the audience, they come across as boring and unconvincing more often than not.

Finally, I recently saw an icon of angry-looking Bill with the caption "Sucky Is Mahn!" and I thought it was PERFECT. English is a foreign language to me so I can't differentiate accents as well as native speakers, but damn, even I can tell the ones on that show are AWFUL!

Maybe I've read too much fanfic so the demystifying is lost on me. ;)

It is amazing that a series with so much sex and violence can be, as you say, so bland. Every time there is an orgy (and I can't believe I just typed that!) I'm torn between cringing and yawning.

I finally saw the appeal Eric when Bill was going on one of his many drama queen moments regarding Sookie and Eric was ::this close:: to rolling his eyes. He spoke to me! :)
