You know, I missed all the ST:TOS fic first time round, being only 10 when it came out, but I'm catching up now.

Hehe, better late than never! Seriously though, I've no idea how the TOS fangirls/ficcers must feel these days with all these damn kids crowding their playground. And to be honest, I need to work myself up to read the TOS fic because I never really liked Shatner's Kirk.

I didn't like Kirk as a kid becsuse I wanted Spock to be Captain! But then, I saw the loos they gave each other.
I watched the first two episodes (after the pilot) last night, and the slash was there right from the start. I kind-of love Bill now. He's hilarious in interviews.

Oh, I love Shatner now - he was amazing on Boston Legal - but his Kirk was just too golden and lucky and arrogant to be likable (even despite all his love for Spock). Now I can enjoy him far more, thanks to the new movie. :)
