Here in CA, a bill was just passed to ban incandescent light bulbs. They'll be phased out by 2012, I believe is the time line.

You neglected to mention the mandated obsolescence of incandescent light bulbs. Better stock up on lights for your oven now, 'cause there's basically no way to make one of those as a CFL.
