[A blue-haired girl braves the snow now that the blizzard is ending. She's dressed in a remarkably short skirt for the weather, and she's got black wings. Must be a new feather, and she doesn't seem to mind the cold

[Usagi couldn't believe what she had heard, that Mercury was attacking people and trying to drain their energy. It was a lucky thing she looked at the journals when she did, too bad she only had time to scrawl a note to the other senshi in her journal (considering the fact she was running errands today) to inform them.
Hopefully they'd find her, and Mercury, because Usagi knew she couldn't fight a friend. There was a quick Moon Prism Power, Make-Up! before she speeds off, scouring the village by rooftops for her blue-haired target. It didn't take long to find her, no victims near by (which Usagi prayed was a good sign), and she slowed to a halt (nearly slipping off the rooftop in the process).]

[And as soon as Makoto had read that note, there had been a few seconds of hesitation, before she transformed, and tried to find the source of the danger... Which wasn't too far. Leaping from rooftop to rooftop, she landed a few inches beside her princess, ready to fight what she thought was one of her best friends.]
Sounds good to me!themoonupliftsJanuary 15 2010, 21:45:16 UTC
I don't want to fight you. [She glances over at Jupiter, her face pleading; this was Ami Mizuno, Sailor Mercury. They could fix this. They could fix this. She looks back at Mercury;] Please stop all this!
[Only looks at Usagi for a second - then her attention is focused back on Mercury. She was her friend - now she was the enemy. Sometimes people needed to be smacked back into attention.]
We don't want to... but we can't let you keep doing this. Put down your weapon!
[Instead, she makes a quick gesture with the sword against the air, and a somewhat powerful blast of dark energy releases itself towards Moon and Jupiter, aimed just between them to force them apart.]
[Usagi stumbles to the left, successfully dodging the attack but nearly loses her footing because of the icy, snow covered rooftop. She's quick to recognize that the roof is dangerous, especially considering all her klutziness, and jumps down, keeping her eyes trained on Mercury at all times.]
[Runs to the right, also dodging the attack, just barely. As she headed down below, she tries to form a plan - subdue Mercury, have Moon de-brainwash her. Simple enough... the 'how to' just needed some work.
First, brute force. If not, zapping time.]
I said put it down!
[With that, she leaps toward Mercury, hands balled into fists, left fist out to try and strike her cheek.]
This is the real me! I'm the Dark Kingdom's Mercury!
[But somehow that voice sounds a touch strained, and almost like she's reaffirming it to herself. ...She really hates her own doubts Venus and that mirror.
Whatever she might have been thinking, it vanishes as soon as Jupiter attacks, replaced by careful cunning. She spins out of the way of the punch and regathers herself angrily. She brings her sword to a ready position, as a physical weapon this time. She can't really go against Jupiter in sheer strength, after all.]
It's not! [And Moon's voice is strong with belief as she readies her moon stick right when Jupiter makes her move. If Mercury were to attack Jupiter, Sailor Moon would call upon Hyt (the spirit of light) to try and momentarily stun Mercury with a flash of light.]
[Stumbles after her punch is dodged, and when she rights herself up she sees Mercury's stance. Ready to really fight, huh? There would be no hesitation now.]
The Dark Kingdom is dead, Mercury! Wake up before it's too late!
[or, rather, 'Wake up, or else', as she raised her hands.]
Sparkling Wide Pressure!
[Lightning descended upon her, gathering in her palm... It took the form of a disc, which Jupiter flung at Mercury.]
[Mercury brings up her sword, between her hands, to absorb the power of the attack - but this Jupiter is far stronger than the one in Mercury's time, and she's pushed back by the force of it anyway, with an angry wound to the arm. Like the 'humans', senshi aren't so easy here.
... Had she had a moment of doubt? Had she wondered whether that vision of herself among the senshi, as friends, was true? This firms up her mind. They're just enemies who won't hesitate, like she should be. The only fool had been her. She grips her wounded arm for a moment, but lets it go and this time, her expression holds nothing at all; a soldier.]
[Usagi moves in closer, her stance defensive, the moon stick held close to her chest; it's been so long since she last had to transform to fight. It's been so long since she had to fight. She winces when Mercury is wounded.]
Please, Mercury, it doesn't have to be like this. [She glances back at Jupiter, her warrior and protector and friend. A part of her wonders how many battles Jupiter had been in compared to herself, but that was neither here nor there. All Usagi wanted was for this to end.]
[What had it jut done? Not to mention Mercury had never fought with one before... whatever this thing was, it needed to be gone. Now she lunges at the sword, grabbing at it - and it cut her hands, deep... this pain she could ignore - and trying to force it backwards, to back it thrust right into Mercury's sword, turn the weapon against its user.]
[She can't fight with this many thoughts and emotions running through her at once, and it leaves her momentarily open to further attacks. She's forced to remember that the only person who ever thought she was worth something or wanted her with them or helped her isn't even in Luceti.
Finally, this new anger, and calculation, win out. Mercury raises her head stubbornly, and her lips spread in that too-wide smile that just might be forced given her quiet of a moment earlier. She forces the sword upward to cut deeper, freezing the flesh even as it cuts. If Jupiter has no qualms about hurting her, she'll forget all hers about hurting Jupiter.
She will not be foolish enough to think about believing in them for one more second after seeing this truth!]
[For one moment, Moon is stunned. This shouldn't be happening, and her eyes well with tears. But this would be the perfect moment, while Jupiter and Mercury were locked like that, to try and heal Mercury. Her grip tightens on her moon stick, and she nods before crying out;]
Hopefully they'd find her, and Mercury, because Usagi knew she couldn't fight a friend. It didn't take long to find her, no victims near by (which Usagi prayed was a good sign), and she slowed to a halt (nearly slipping off the rooftop in the process).]

Sailor Moon. Sailor Jupiter.
