Glad it came out hopeful for you. I was trying to play it both ways, either hopeful in conjunction the cheery speech or ironically contrasted against it because of the upcoming angst. :)

Gah! I don't know if I want to see this turning out better than canon, or making it even more painful than canon. I love the longing, though, and the way they come back together so easily. And the letter! SO PERFECTLY KARA. Bravo, bb! I loved it!
