This is lovely, and perfect, and perfectly imagined. I love that she's open enough to talk, but I also love the little non-verbal bits and Lee thinking about what it is to have sunlight and space and Kara's black humour in this line:

"Didn't you hear? I'm scary and unpredictable." She shrugs. "Where I go, the ants scatter."

(oh, and so much love for using the title of the Firefly finale. It has a permanent hold on my heart)

And yes, I do love Kara's dark humor. It's a thing her & I have in common.

Spanx! The show so often gives me claustrophobic panic moments. I don't know how they aren't all freaking out all the time all cooped up in there!

Oh YAY! This is so endearing. I love how grateful he is that she's alive, even all this time later. And they love each other so much :)
