Once Jack states his plain to boil his own foot as a way to get the bracelet off, Sheldon types a quick message to Ran and grabs Jack as he comes in the house (from on top of the roof where he's been spending more and more time).

"That's not fucking funny, Jack ass."

"What's not? I don't recall joking."

Jack works to shake off his brother's hold. He's been looking up ways around the monitoring system and this has been the only real solid one he's found. He refused to try it for a while, but he's willing to try now.
"Let go. I want this off now."

"I'm not letting you boil you're fucking foot!"
He holds on too tightly for Jack to get free of him.
"Stop. Jack. Think about this. You boil your foot and you wont get anywhere. Except the hospital. Then you go stay there until they take you to a mental ward or just jail."

"If I don't leave it in too long, I'll just lose some callus or maybe blister some... It'll be like a tiny jacuzzi. I won't go to jail... I won't let them put me in jail. Just, let go, Shel." He tugs again, staring hard into his twin's eyes. Searching for some kind of sympathy and understanding. "Please. I need this. I can't do this anymore."

"It wont, Jack. It's boiling water. They'll find out. It could damage the thing and then you're fucked. Fucking get a hold of yourself."
He pushes Jack against the wall and holds him there.
"Stop. This is crazy. trust me. I'm familiar with that state of mind. You're not thinking. You'll make it worse for yourself."

He fights a bit more, but then just hangs slack in Sheldon's grip. Jack stares blankly at nothing, past Sheldon and to the side.

"Then what do I do, Shelly? What's left? Hope and wait for those moments Pearl is forgiving enough to come and see me, only to have her run away again with no explanation? Watch you and Ran? Rely on those moments when we're alone and you're not frustrated with me? It is a thrilling existence, Sheldon, you've no idea."

Sheldon keeps holding him to the wall just so he doesn't pitch forward onto his face. He kisses Jack's cheek and tries to sound soothing.
"She's just a kid. I now you're not the most grown up person but there's still a big difference big difference between you and a sixteen year old. She had a picture of how her first time would go and is now dealing with reality. It's a girl thing.
And you're lucky I have Ran or I'd have slaughtered you. I sacrificed a lot to take care of you because you need me. But I don't want to drop her so I can damn up your crazy every moment. I ditch her a lot as it is. I think I'm being brilliantly patient considering all you can talk about is Pearl. I'm doing what I can. I switched classes with you. I liked that class. I'm staying home with you even though this place is just as hard for me to live in and has been since the ski trip. I'm being a lot more understanding then you were. Get a fucking grip, Jack."

"She's not just a kid!"
He doesn't even know what he's defending anymore. Jack just flails without hope or purpose, like a trapped bird.
"...She's a beautiful woman. A queen."

As he mentally batters himself against the bars, Jack changes direction and tactics. He reaches up to put his arms around Sheldon and cling to him.
"You have been patient, Shelly... You take care of me. Always have. I love you so much. .... Help save me. You're so clever. Get me out."

"She's sixteen! A sixteen year old girl who obviously has no idea what she wants."

Sheldon forces him down until Jack finds his way around his twins defenses. It works amazingly well. Jack doesn't manipulate Shel as much as he can. Shel hugs him and reels with ways out for his brother.
"I've been thinking about it. I have. Right now the best thing I can do for you is fixing up this apartment. A place for us. I know it's just a new cage for you. But it's freedom to me. I need this to think. Stay together. Just don't hurt yourself. You'll make it impossible for me if you do these things."
