I wrote this the other night but forgot to post it.

This fucking lightning storm was epic tonight.
It began and ended in about an hour but the rain hammered my house and the lights flickered and then I went outside to see a nearly-full moon popping in and out of the clouds and a constant strobing of heat lightning directly overhead.
I love heat lightning because it's virtually silent.

That's so weird...I'm in Elmhurst and woke up because the thunder was nonstop rumbling, but I hardly saw any lightning (though obviously it was there). It wasn't quiet for a good 20 minutes or so.
