birthdays and fireworks

Today was a fun day.

We went over to rdhdsnippet's for dababybean's first birthday party. It was a lot of fun but around the time we left dababybean's temperature spiked. He got some tylenol, but I don't know how things turned out after that. I hope he didn't have to go back to the hospital

Pam and I got done some shopping last night at Fair Oaks and as we walked into the parking lot we stopped and saw the fireworks. I agree the nearly full moon made it beautiful.

It spiked up again to 103, at which point we called the doctor. While waiting for her return call I went and nursed and napped with him - when we woke up 45 minutes later, the ped hadn't called back, but his temp was down to 100 or so, so we left well enough alone. It was a very hard night getting him to sleep due to him being overtired and feeling yucky, but once he got to sleep around 11 or so, he slept pretty good until about 4:30 when his UTI was obviously bothering him, and then on and off until 8:30 or so, which is MUCH better than the last few days. He fluctuated between "a little warm" and "nice and cool" all night (probably was running an on/off temp of about 99.5 or so I'd guess), so I didn't wake him for more medicine.

It's just so sad when he feels bad.
