There is no such thing as a full picture of them, and that’s what hurts her the most now that he’s gone.

All that is left for her to remember him by are the broken down pieces of a dream. Of a ’what could have been’.

The saddest words ever written .

She only has the memory of a crooked smile, of warm fingers wiping her tears away.

It's a great testament to the special nature of Paire's relationship that they can be so intrinsically linked without ever really having had the chance to get to know each other. I love how you pick up on that reality here, Nick :) Great job!

That's one of the reasons why they are so especial, I think. Like somebody very wise once said, it was obvious from the first look that it wasn't random, it was destiny.

The best couples are always about the heartache! I want my Paire happy ending, of course, but i want them to suffer and fight for it!

Glad you liked it! I actually wrote the drabble around that sentece, that popped into my head while watching the last scene of 'Lizards'.
