So... I wanna go to Crown. I want to go to Mischka's wake and see my ravensfury friends. I wanna show off my baby and I wanna go to a large event, for the first time since 12th Night. I've been to one camping event this summer

Definitely easier to take babies places when they're small, and stay where you put them! I have no idea re: bottles, though. When we were feeding Josh expressed milk we swirled it around in a huge bottle under hot tap water. Maybe if you swished it around in a big pot of hot water? I'm sure there are portable bottle warmers.. bottling mamas have to leave the house too

oh and I forgot to say - we heated up bottles on stoves (in a pan of water) for how long before bottle warmers? it shouldn't be too difficult with a camp stove
I agree with previous commenters: Heat water, then heat the bottle in the heated water, rather than heating bottles directly on the stove. Scalded baby mouths are NOT pretty.
Agree also with not wanting to do the air mattress thing. I have friends who have done it with their babes but they are 3-4 months old, not wee like Elizabeth. Thermarest sounds good. Do make sure she's swaddled. Check the back of her neck to get a good read on her body temperature as babies' hands and feet are often cold even when their actual temp is fine.
Dear Rose This is Fairlith's mother by the way. One trick I used for preventing diaper rash was one drop of vinegar in every other night diaper. It stops the ammonia from being so potent. The other idea I learned from an Italian lady with a flock of kids (so I figure she has pretty good ideas. Anyway, to warm a bottle for the Princess tuck it in your bodice somewhere, it will warm to just the right temperature in about 1/2 hour (make sure the top and the cap are both on of course. I love your joy and wonder. Beth
