Opens are lots of fun, even when you don't place in the money.  This was my first and I'm hooked; hopefully we can have more of this style of event in the South, as I like the volatility and the crazy matchups and upsets that can and do happen.

Really enjoyed reading this, for what it's worth. Just didn't want to leave that unsaid. And AUREOLAR* looks good to me. I too wish more people would put together opens. They simply aren't very popular down south. I got incredibly lucky in our game, though I'd never studied SPECIATE and don't know where I pulled it from. Game is so different if I whiff on that. Anyway, fun times! They'll be annotated soon enough, but I've got to concentrate on going to Knoxville first. :)

Randy even held me on AUREOLAR*, saying that he knew "one of them" wasn't good, but let it go. If I play AREOLAR elsewhere, he probably doesn't get his 53 point YODS play, but that's hard to predict. Anyway, glad you enjoyed reading the report, and good luck in Knoxville!
