The double negatives were insane too...I had to re-read a couple questions.

srsly. there were several questions that looked like they'd been translated -- and badly -- from another language or something.

There also seems to be a lot of overlap between diagnostic questions for Aspies and those for people with anxiety problems, so factor that in.

Some of the questions would apply to physical issues, too...I have trouble focusing on conversations when there's a lot of background noise, but that's because I have hearing loss, not Asperger's.

heh. it's funny how many people i know who have said the same thing. i have trouble w/ background noise and such too, but in my case it's because i seem to lack the ability to filter any of it. i can hear all the conversations going on around me and can't block any of them out, and it makes me CRAZY. because of course i can't keep track of all of them at once.

this is why i don't show up to parties much. i wind up not talking to many people b/c i just can't focus if there are a lot of people around. bah.

but to respond to your original statement, yeah, i was trying to take context into account (as much as was possible with the utter vagueness of some of the questions). if it was a question of, say, "i like walking on my toes" and the answer was yes b/c i had plantar fasciitis and it hurt for my heels to touch the ground, i'd still answer no b/c they're looking for psychological reasons, not physical ones.

and pee ess: i still love your icon. >:) happy baaaaaaaby panda toes!

Har, when I read that question I thought, "Why the hell would I want to walk around on my toes?" Other people's toes, sure. :) Now, baaaaby panda toes? Nev-ah! They are to be snuggled, not walked on!

actually, the walking-on-your-toes thing has to do w/ the autistic/aspberger's odd gait thing. a kid w/ aspberger's who used to live across the street did that -- kinda rolled up onto the balls of his feet as he walked.

but yes! baaaaaaby panda toes are for snorgling! as are lemur tummies. (because yes, i have a one-track mind. ZOMG lemur tummy!)

I got something like 177 out of 200 pro-Aspie on this. And I'm pretty sure I'm contraindicated for Aspberger's, although I don't remember why.

If I was Aspie, I'd know all that stuff chapter & verse. See, proof.

(I have the background noise + fatigue = functional deafness problem as well; I have no idea why that's abnormal.)
